My friends, we on rec.roller-coaster share a love for roller coasters
and the parks they reside in. We all have memories from our childhood of
being at an amu***t park with family and friends. I remember being so
e***d every time I went to Camden Park as a child and crying when it
was time to leave. As I grew up I moved and ended up in Central Florida
and enjoyed Disney and the other mega-parks for awhile but as the years
went by I stopped going as much.
A few years ago I rode Kumba and really got the coaster bug I went to
Cedar Point later that year. The next year something happened, I went
back to West ***ia to spend some token time with the family. I
decided to spend a couple hours Memorial day at Camden Park. I ended up
staying the day and even gettting the last ride of the day on the Big
Dipper. Gosh I had a great day, the kind of day I remembered having at
that park as a child and yes I cried when I left. I was home.
Now I've never been to Arnolds Park and I may not be able to make it
this year or next, so its not my memories I'm looking to help protect.
Its the memories of the kids that have been and the kids that have yet
to go. I want them all to have the chance to go and to go home again.
May I ask that everyone consider giving what they can to help buy and
save this park, even just a few dollars is fine. I'm cancelling a day
trip that I can make another time in the upcoming years and putting the
money towards this cause. on the form I put my organization as
rec.roller-coaster in hopes that it may raise a small awareness of our
group and that we want to help. Please think of what you can do to help
spread the word and save this park. Time is running out, the deadline is
