Do you or Adam happen to know if there's a coaster (not a powered
dragon kiddie coaster) at the carnival in North Brunswick this year?
Last year the only thing of interest was a Zipper, and it was rather
pricey and the ride cycle didn't last very long. We spent more time
getting in and out of the parking lot (um,... muddy field behind
DeVry) and sitting in construction traffic near the Route 1
(non-)circle* than we did doing stuff at the carnival. Ah... but it's
for a good cause -- and you "donate" around $5 to that cause just to
get onto the midway, before you buy ride tickets, food, etc.
Anyhoo, I'm too lazy go 2.5 miles past my turnoff on Route 1 to check
it out -- and they're predicting MORE RAIN again for tonight and
tomorrow. By the time they open on Saturday for the weekend, I'll be
half way to ***ny.
(B&M! :-) -- no, there won't be one at the NJ Youth Sports
* There hasn't been a real traffic circle at the intersection of US 1
and US 130 for more than 25 years, but no matter how many
configurations the intersection goes through, it will always be called
the Route 1 circle. :-) Maybe this time they fixed it right!
Dana Schwartz (who used to drive a heckuva lot farther than 2.5 miles
for a Zipper, but who will pass on this carnival unless there's a
decent size coaster there I haven't ridden someplace else!)
