...opened my mailbox today and saw I had a press release regarding Jazzland.
Since I haven't seen it posted here yet, I'll go ahead and do it. The park
looks pretty good!

NEW ORLEANS, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- After years of planning and 18 months of
construction, Jazzland Theme Park will open its gates on May 20, 2000. With
high-energy entertainment, celebrities and political leaders welcoming the
crowds at the morning Grand Opening Ceremony, Jazzland will begin its first
season in New Orleans, LA.

 Fun for the entire family!

Jazzland Theme Park is a 140-acre world-class theme park with 30 exciting and
thrilling rides, quality family attractions, spectacular shows, scrumptious
food and a variety of outstanding live music entertainment. Located at the
intersection of I-10 and I-510 in New Orleans East, Jazzland will be open to
the public May through October; daily during the summer and weekends during the
spring and fall.

The Six Themed Sections:

Enter through Jazz Plaza(SM) with its French Quarter-style architecture,
evoking the essence of old New Orleans.  Jazz Plaza is also home to Jazz Hall,
the place for fabulous entertainment.  It's here that your feet begin to move
to the beat of Jazzland.

In Cajun Country(SM) you'll experience the lore and fun of Southwest
Louisiana's people, food and music.  Feast on bayou bites of spicy cookin'
seasoned to perfection.  This is also the place to cool off on the Cypress
Plunge(SM) water ride, cruise on the Gator Bait(SM) airboats or get crazy on
the Muskrat Scrambler(SM) roller coaster.

Pontchartrain Beach(SM) is where Jazzland has recreated New Orleans' famed
amu***t park on its own Jazz Lake.  Delight in the nostalgia of the setting
as you take in such thrills as the Sonic Slam(SM) & Bayou Blaster(SM) sky shot
rides, the Zydeco Scream(SM) coaster and the Big Easy(SM), Jazzland's 90-foot
classic Ferris wheel.

Every day is "Fat Tuesday" in the Mardi Gras(SM) section and the party never
ends.  Catch the carnival spirit at the nightly parade, make a splash on
Spillway Splash-Out(SM) and get ready for serious thrills on Jazzland's
signature wooden coaster -- the Mega Zeph(SM).

Kids' Carnival(SM) is the favorite place for little ones who can soar on the
Red Baron, drive the Kids' Bus and fly a Zinger ***(SM).  Everything here
is kid-sized and kid-approved.

Goodtime Gardens(SM), Jazzland's open-air lawn, offers the ideal setting for
company picnics, group activities and outdoor concerts.

Is this the name for the wild mouse?

Looking at Jazzland(SM)(TM)(C)(U)(etc)'s web page, I see that they have photos of
what appears to be a Togo standup coaster, which obviously does not match any of
the four roller coasters that are described for this year.  Is this planned for
later installation, or is it just another example of artistic liberty?
