Building a Model Coaster. . .

Has anyone built a model coaster?  I want to build a model inverted
coaster, and I have plans on the car design and stuff.  All i was
wondering is, what is the best material to build the track out of?
Something that I can bend and still holds well.  Or any information in
general will help.  Maybe a website or pictures of model coasters.
Thanks

You might want to check out this excellent URL for ideas:

http://members.tripod.com/~magraha/

Though there are no inverted coasters on that site, there is a
beautiful model Arrow Dynamics mega looper coaster on there.  You could
take that track design and simply "flip it over" to make an inverted
coaster.  Heck, it worked for Vekoma!  :-D

if you live by Disneyland, go to New Orleans Square and go up in the art
gallery above pirates of the carribean and they have a cool model of space
mountian. Just ask the employees there where they got it from and they might
tell you.

Are you building to a model railroad guage (N, HO, etc)?  What a unique
addition to a model RR layout!  I don't know how well model RR tracks
can be shaped for a roller-coaster, especially a new-design one, but maybe

trying out a basic 'woodie' design might be a way to see how well things
could work.

I am currently trying to make tracks for a Medusa model. I am using plastic to
melt and merge the rails. I want to make it look very detailed.
