After discovering that the AOL instant messenger has a chat feature I
thought if AOL has weekly chat Why not NON-AOL.

<-- Has AOL and AIM, so both ways and I'm fine. For inquiring minds, I have AIM
because when you are downloading something large on AOL, everything is lagged.
So if you use AOL Instant Messanger to chat in IM's, its not nearly as lagged.

on-line over weekends and nights.

Exactly.  AOLers can download AIM and use it just fine - even with the same
screenname.

Thats probably the same thing non-AOL users think when its an AOL chat!
And a non-AOL chat is more likely to be used by an AOLer, than an AOL
chat is by non-AOL'ers....  (does that make sence?! )
