>> I only watched one show and that was all I could handle.
>> Female coaster enthusiast... I might throw up on this coaster.
>> Me... Umm, why do you like this then?
>Right, that's exactly what I keep ranting about. Why put scaredy cats on the ride? Is that what the coaster industry wants? You'd think they would get pissed off about it, and say enough, but no, they don't care. I realize that fear is part of the ride, but my gosh, they go over board with it.
YOU would think that the industry would get pissed off about it.
But you're apparently wrong.
It's EXACTLY what the industry wants. They want their rides to be seen as
very emotional experiences. That brings people onto them. And it helps
them enjoy them more.
It's good business, something you've never understood about this hobby.
It's a BUSINESS.
>Every show portrays coasters as death machines, that will kill you (accident), make you sick, or make you die from a panic attack. Yes, each can happen, but it's in every show.
Did you ever think that there might be a reason for that?
>Do not put these people on the rides. It is not entertaining to watch.
Why do you always assume that because YOU don't find something entertaining
that others' don't either? That's one of your biggest problems in life.
You don't understand that others actually have different opinions than you
do. When you learn that that's not the case, you'll have a much less
frustrating time in life.
Actually, I sometimes find the scaredy-cats entertaining. The fact that
some people do, is enough to make it worth them filming them.
These shows aren't made for one person. They're made for millions.
>It would be like having a show about Harley Davidson motorcycles, showing the pack riding down the street, then interviewing me, and I go, "Well, I'm scared to ride today because I might die, this hog is loud, and it's gonna make me sick." Do you think Harley riders would like that? No.
>So why do coaster fans put up with it?
Because you have no say on the matter.
You have absolutely no choice in the matter.
>I've been ranting about this for 10 years and it's never changed.
Perhaps you should take the hint!
In case you're confused:
THE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK.
>The shows are so corny. It's fun to see the high lights of the rides, but enough of the scaredy cat and science stuff.
"enough of the ... science stuff."
Man, that speaks volumes!
