I went to Fix Flags over Texas today, with the hope of introducing my father,
who weaned me on a coster at Lakeside in Roanoake, VA, to the Giant. However,
the park was crowded and the Giant was closed "to make mechanical adjustements"
until the afternoon. When it did open, only one train ran, actually the front
of the white train and the last car of the red train hooked together. We
waited for two hours in the slowest line I think I've ever seen. It was worth
the wait, but I'm glad I've got a season pass. Does anyone know if SFTX has a
number you can call to get information about rides, I'd hate to drive up there
from Austin (about three hours) and find the Giant closed. Also has anybody
noticed if it is quieter on off days (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur)? The crowd was a
bit thick, with lots of groups of kids. Thanks
