SFTX and TX Giant Frustration

I went to Fix Flags over Texas today, with the hope of introducing my father,
who weaned me on a coster at Lakeside in Roanoake, VA, to the Giant.  However,
the park was crowded and the Giant was closed "to make mechanical adjustements"
until the afternoon.  When it did open, only one train ran, actually the front
of the white train and the last car of the red train hooked together.  We
waited for two hours in the slowest line I think I've ever seen.  It was worth
the wait, but I'm glad I've got a season pass.  Does anyone know if SFTX has a
number you can call to get information about rides, I'd hate to drive up there
from Austin (about three hours) and find the Giant closed.  Also has anybody
noticed if it is quieter on off days (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur)?  The crowd was a
bit thick, with lots of groups of kids. Thanks

As a ride operator, I can tell you that there is no place where you would be
able to find out sucj information.  The park never expects a ride to be down
and if it does go down, will always say it will open later, unless they
absolutely positively know that the ride will not be up.  The only way to find
out if a ride is not working is by comming to the park.  Sorry.
