MF: WhatTheHeckIsAn "Elevator Lift"?

Regarding Millenium Force.... I'm unable to figure out for myself what's
so radical about the lift it will be using.  From the mockup illustration
it appears to be "just another lift hill" - could someone help me
understand what's different about it???

ever been on an elevator???

it has a cable that lifts it up and down

now imagine the coaster train being the car for the elevator

Now imagine the elevator shaft at a 45 degree angle

now remove the shaft, and add track and supports and

TA DAAAA

Millenium Force lift hill!

SAM (the same idea for the lift just a different lifting device **no chain**)

It was mentioned earlier that the train will most likely attach in a similar
fashion as gondolas at ski areas attach and detach from the cable.

We'll have to wait and see

Although i havent the slightest clue on how it will work i do know that the
lift will be faster, smoother, and steeper than the average lift......

Although I know it won't be exactly like this, I just keep thinking about the
Vekoma Boomerang cable lift, but perhaps much more faster and a more advanced
system.

Cheers.

So you mean something like Anton Schwarzkoph uses on his coasters with a
"pusher" which couples to the back of the train??  It actually "pushes" the
train up the hill, rather than engaging it and pulling up.  Am I close?

Steel Force and MF...two of the best in 2000!!
