HELP TO SAVE TWISTER

HELP TO SAVE TWISTER

Apparently the other entry got erased...I'm new at this, bear with me.
I am looking for a rugged group of coaster enthusiasts who are willing
to band together with me in an attempt to save MR. TWISTER from a fate of
age rot at the old Elitche's site in Denver.  It is my understanding that
CONEY ISLAND purchased WILDCAT.  Good for them!  Still, there is TWISTER.
In my humble opinion, there is no other ride that can compare.
It is brought to my attention that PRIMADONNA RESORTS (Stateline-
Nevada - DESPERADO) is going to build another resort there at the
Stateline property - the ANNIE OAKLEY.  Now, that seems just the place
for a rootin'-tootin' woodie to go..and, considering the history and value
of TWISTER...Primadonna would do well in saving that glorious piece of wood.
Anyone willing to help me in presenting this? A petition, letters, whatever-

HELP TO SAVE TWISTER

I'm all for saving Mister Twister, one of my all-time favorites, but
you'll never get anywhere with Primadonna Resorts. Have you visited the
Desperado or any of the other attractions there? These are not people who
care about classic rides or will put the effort into maintaining a labor
intensive old coaster. Look at the condition of non-greased woodies like
Rolling Thunder at SFGAd and American Eagle at SFGAm to see how even a
large amu***t park chain lets good rides go to pot. The only real chance
for Mister Twister to ever run again as it should is for an independent
park with a caring owner to move and restore it. (such as The Great Escape
or  Knoebel's {as has been teasingly mentioned in a number of baseless
rumors}. Since Elitch's doesn't want to let anyone else run it (least they
compare it to the poor imitation Twister 2 they now have) and since it's
not that often that a smaller park can come up with the funds for such a
major installation, it's going to be a tough job to save Mr T. After all
NAPHA and ACE are active in trying, I'm not sure how much anyone else can
do unless they're independently wealthy (Sam Walton's family doesn't have
any members in ACE by any chance, do they?.............)
