Step By Step Coaster

Not to sound dumb, but does anyone know what coaster is shown in Step By
Step's opening sequence?  The park itself does not look like it exists -
it is part church festival and part TV-magic.  I also do not recall a
coaster so close to the edge of a large body of water - not even the
coaster at Mission Beach in San Diego.

        Thanks,

The park is Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. The coaster
is Colossus. The last shot showing the coaster on the beach is faked. It's
a combination of two images, the coaster and the ocean. Six Flags is
completely landlocked.

The roller coaster is Collosus at Six Flags Magic Mountain in
California.  IMO, I was surprised that those a$$-holes at Disney did
not cut it out, the group went to one of their parks (I do not recall
which one).  But there is a trick of computer animation (a simple
graphic overlay) in to how they got the ride very close to a body of
water.  Becaouse at the end of the opening sequence you can clearly see
most of SFMM (looks like Viper, another ride, and also, the observation
tower).

Waiting over here for the opening of ALPENGEIST!  The tallest and
fastest inverted steel roller coaster!  Lift parts in the parking lot
NOW!!!

The raving in which the log flume sits in is a mess, but it takes a
mess to build something wonderful.  Oh well, time to get my snow stuff
ready /|8^)

It is Colossus and the park is SFMM. The body of water is was added in
by computer. That opening is 5 or 6 years old. When they get Superman
running they should shoot a new opening with Superman racing up the
tower and the cast  riding Viper
