Need help planning our trip!

Hey there everyone!

Sarah and I are making final plans for the 'coaster honeymoon.'  We've decided
to take a few extra days and travel through the 4th of July weekend.  We
realise that this is the worst possible time to visit some parks, but we
figured since we're on the road anyway, it's better than staying home!

We were originally ending the trip at SFSL, but now we have a choice of one of
two options.

Option #1 - Fly out of Minneapolis by way of WoF, AdvLand, Arnolds, and
Valleyfair.  (Sarah and I have never been to AdvLand, Arnolds, or VF, but we're
doing VF later in the year anyway.)

Option #2 - Fly out of Oklahoma City by way of Silver $ City, Bells, and
Frontier City (Sarah and I have never been to any of them).

So of the smaller parks option, would you go to AdvLand and Arnold's Park or
Bells and Frontier City also factoring in the holiday weekend?

Please help!

Cheers.

I would go to Arnolds Park.  It will not be crowded, almost certainly.  The
atmosphere is highly romantic.  The coaster is fantastic.  There is much to do
and great places to stay.  And it is a park that is hard to get to unless you
plan on going there.  No one just happens to go to Arnolds Park.  You may end up
for many reasons in Tulsa or Oklahoma City.  You will not accidentally end up
anywhere close to Arnolds Park.  Finally, Arnolds NEEDS the business and is a
great park.  Call them and tell them of your plans and don't be surprised if the
park does special favors for you!!!!

And if you must, you can add Adventureland.  It is a very long trip between the
two.  Adventureland has two world class coasters.  The Tornado is probably the
most underrated woodie in the US.  It is truly a great coaster.  And Outlaw
started the twister coaster renaissance.  But this Des Moines park is likely to
be very busy during the 4th.

matter, the entire park.

Dude, I would have to agree with Mr. Cline, and suggest the northern
option.  Nothing against the OK parks...they are fine parks with good
coasters.  But, if it were me, I would get to Arnold's (I have never been
there before).

Do your VF plans for later in the year also include Wisconsin Dells.  If
not, then you might want to consider hitting the Dells instead of VF
before leaving from MSP.  Although, everything I have said does not take
into account July 4th weekend (in which we Americans celebrate our
independence from the British <BSEG>).

Take Option #1.  Ever since I found out about Arnolds Park I have been dying to
go there.  Susan and I are planning to make a weekend of it at Arnolds and
AdvLand sometime in July also (though definitely *not* the 4th!).  Besides, you
wouldn't want to pass up another chance to ride Mamba and Timber Wolf now,
would you? :)  You also might want to think about adding Big Chiefs to your
itinerary.  It's about 2 1/2 hrs. from Mpls-St. Pau.

Please let us know when you plan to be at VF so we can say hey!  (And you might
want to start practicing right now:  "Yah, you betcha!" "You're darn tootin'!"
"Uff-dah!" and "Ho geez!")

I think I'd go with Option #1.  WoF just got Mamba!
