What I suggest is to eat a really late lunch, and go to the Midway Market.
Its an all-you-can-eat buffet so eat until you're gonna puke. Its at the
front of the park near the entrance to Raptor and the east side of Sky Ride.
Although its $13.77/person after taxes, the quality is pretty good, and you
can eat and eat and eat. Just eat late so you're starving and you get your
money's worth. Then, don't eat dinner in the park. Wait until you leave
the park for dinner.
Or, if that's too expensive, you can try the turkey legs, but I don't know
if they'll still make them this late in the season. They sell BBQ'ed turkey
legs next to the exit to Snake River Falls and the entrance to Thunder
Canyon, but only between a certain two hours of the day, which I can't
remember at the top of my head. They're pretty good, but a bit on the dry
side. The meat just slides right of the bone as well.
Those are the only places that I ate a meal at that guests had access to.
Actually, a guest could easily walk in to the employee cafeteria (Its next
to Macaroni's by Peanuts Playground, behind the Scrambler) but you'd
probably be asked to show a CP Employee ID if you tried to be served.
The only snack-type items I've eaten are the Elephant Ears and the
Cheese-On-A-Stick. Elephant Ears are sold in two places: A stand next to
the train track crossing near Gemini in Frontiertown, and a place near
Disaster Transport. They're pretty good, and rather large.
Cheese-On-A-Stick is only sold in a stand near the Frontiertown train
station in the back of the park. The COAS is tasty, but when I had it, the
stick just about went through the cheese and everything just fell off the
Oh yeah, and if its hot, I'd recommend the smoothies they sell in the small
tubs. They're a pretty good value.
PS. Employees don't get discounts on food, in case you wondered. If we
want cheap food, we went to the break areas or the cafeteria, where a
cheeseburger, fries, and a soda (Free refills!) was $3.05, which ain't too
I had pumpkin pie ice cream there this past weekend and it was delicious!
Definitely the best deal in the park in my opinion......
The best is the Midway Market near the entrance. It's a buffet and costs
around $10-$15, depending on if you eat lunch or dinner. The food is pretty
good and probably the best food deal in the park.
The Breakers has a nice breakfast buffet.
