As always this is not written in stone but it was reported in this weeks
issue of Business First that Superman:ROS with recieve its first riders on
May 15th.It was reported the park opens May 8,mothers day weekend and S:ROS
will open on the 15th.Construction is reported on schedule.Actually i hope it
opens sooner because i leave for Vegas the 16th and if its delayed i will
miss the opening! There is also a fantastic pic of the first drop with the
incredible 90degree left turn at the bottom.I think me detects some awesome
Gs on this ride. Also the gate price went up $2.

Superman Ride of Steel may open May 15 per other postings here.
May 15-16 is also Kodak weekend at SFDL.
That should bring in a good crowd. It is also possible that other corporate
groups, unions etc. may be there too. They have doubled up those weekend in
some past years.

You do not want to go to SFDL on Kodak weekend.  The park is usually jammed to
its limits on those weekends.

I remember back to when the Viper first opened and a Kodak weekend came along.
The lines for Viper were at one point close to three hours long!  And people
just kept lining up.

I went back a few weekends later and the line was close to walk-on.

Hmmm....

I've been dying to ride SRoS on opening day.  Provided it opens on the 15th,
would you recommend going on that weekend, or wait until Memorial Weekend?

I guess what I'm asking is, how do the Kodak crowds compare to the Memorial
crowds.

I will confirm that,Kodak is the biggest thing in the Rochester area, and
ive been there that weekend and left. Now that Darien has become "Six Flags"
it will bear the brunt of its name,BIG CROWDS,LONG LINES.

Go Memorial Day weekend.  It'll still be crowded I'm sure, but probably not as
crowded as Kodak weekend.

Thank you, sir!  I think I shall.

Is the Superman ERT with the WNYCC event on Saturday or Sunday?  I don't think
I'll make it to the area until Saturday night.

Hmmmmmm.......

Now I just need to decide if it's worth the $57.  For anyone who knows:

1) How much is admission to MFI usually?
2) How much ERT on Superman is there?
3) What other benefits are there from the event (meals, etc)?

I just need to know because I have the SF pass...

Not sure, but under $20.00, that I am positive of.

1 hour.

There is a meal at both parks, and unlimited drink service at Martins and 5
hours (I think) drink service at Darien.

Hope that helps, a tough call for sure.  The 2 meals help.

Sigh... I'm looking at a good 570 mile drive.  Which I can do in 10 hours or
less easily.  Maybe I'll leave my house Friday and stay somewhere along the way
(Janis, you reading this? ;)

MFI is open 10:30-7:30.  I could probably be there at 1.  Would I still be able
to register for the event?  I'm guessing that I'd still make the meal.

And finally, about how many people are expected to attend?

Sorry for all the questions, but you guys are the only way I can find out! :)
