Business First inspired these two random thoughts about Darien Lake's
Superman Ride of Steel. For reference, the article is online at:

#1 THE OPENING: The article says Superman will "carry its first
riders on May 15", but sixflags.com still reports:
Park opens for a sneak preview of the new hyper coaster
Superman Ride of Steel.
I'm *guessing* special opening ceremonies will be held on the 15th,
but Superman will be operating for the public as of May 8th. That's
how I interpret things. I'll go to Darien on May 8th no matter what.
If Superman Ride of Steel is operating, wohoo! If it isn't, I'll
*** about false advertising (kidding!) then go again on the 15th.
And I'll definitely be back for CoasterFest on May 30th.

#2: STATS! STATS?! Here's a paragraph taken from this article:
The coaster has a peak drop of 235 feet and top speed of 80 mph.
The ride itself, which covers 5,350 feet and has a 90-degree
high-speed banked turn, lasts 3 minutes and 20 seconds, more than
twice that of the fabled but long gone Crystal Beach Comet.
235 feet?! MY GOD! I guess the 208 ft measurement is the lift
height. Again: MY GOD!!!!!!!!
