NEW Six Flags New England info!

I just read at the unofficial SF New England Web Site that SF has
dropped the plan to build a theme park in North Stonington, CT. But they
have not dropped the  plans to build a theme park in Southern New England.
They fully plan to build it, but they say it's their "responsability" to
research more to find the best site for for the park. The 4 new sites that
they proposed are:
Montville, CT
Hopkinton, RI
Norwich, CT
East Hartford, CT
IMHO, the best site out of these would be East Hartford, and let me
tell you why.  The other 3 proposed sites are all in a 10 mile radius of
eachother, tucked away in SE.CT/RI. While this location is convenient for
the people of Providence and Boston, it gives everyone else in New England
quite a schlep. They should pick a more centralized location, and East
Hartford would be perfect for that. First of all, there are at least 4 BIG
cities, in a half hours driving distance from E. Hartford: Springfield, MA;
Hartford (duh); New Haven, CT; and Bridgeport; CT. The combined total of
these cities is larger than Boston. Boston would still only be 100 miles
from East Hartford, and Providence would only be 70 miles. Also, it's only
100 miles from NY, all the people that live in NY that always drive up to
Connecticut for the weekend could bring their families there!

What are your opinions? Please respond to this message! If you know any
newer news about the planning of this park, please post it!
