Pre-TR: Cedar Point Closing Weekend (10/9/98 - 10/11/98)

I'm really too tired to start going into fine details about this past
weekend, but I wanted to be the first of many to post something regarding CP
closing (Yes, Sean, I beat you to it again :) )  Anywho, I just wanted to
give some highlights.  I'm sure a clearer picture of the weekend will be
painted by all who attended.

My personal highlights:
 - discovering the 4th seat on Mantis
 - Saturday attendance was that of a Saturday in July.  Rumored 2 hr waits
for Mean Streak
 - Mean Streak gave a pretty good ride at night
 - Last train on Magnum for the season (if you were there, you know what I
mean :) )

Time for precious sleep,

Next Trip: SFoG/Visionland, Oct 16-18

Hi all,

I spent all of my weekend with Scott, I also have a very long TR to write.  I
plan on writing a 1998 Cedar Point trip report.  I have already started writing
it and it is long.  I just want to thank everyone today for an awesome night,
and especially the Magnum girls.  I was also proud of myself I didn't start
crying until I got into my car and had to drive around the park.

Actually, I did do a TR but for some reason, Web Tv would not let me
send it.  Anyways, yesterday was probably the best Magnum  ride (s) I
have EVER got.  The Magnum crew went out of their way to do something
very special for the last train we were on.  Jim Raimar got his 3000
coaster ride on the last train of the season. Not only that but after we
all stepped out of the train for the last time, Jim ended up witn number
3001. How is that possible? Well, the last ride on Magnum was indeed a
VERY rare double ride.  Everyone was shocked that they let us ride
again.  I think it is safe to say that the Magnum crew this year is IMO
the best crew at CP.  Thanks!
