I'm ready to build a small outboard cruiser capable of negotiating
skinny water for gunkholing and possessing a traditional appearance.
Stambaugh's "Redwing" is my first love but she's a mite more boat than
I wish to tackle. I would like to try deleting the mast step and
centerboard on Nancy's China and adding an outboard well for something
like a 5hp Honda 4-cycle. I've talked to folks who weren't estatic
over Nancy's sailing close to the wind but this is immaterial to my
projected use. I'd like to hear about her overall stability . I have
twice written to Devlin's boatworks asking for his opinion of this and
for a quote on a set of revised plans-- no response. If there's
anyone with experience with Nancy's China, I'd sure appreciate hearing
from you. Thanks.
