Repairing cracks in hatch cover?

A  clear hatch cover on my bow has a small set of spider cracks
radiating from the hole drilled for the holddown clamp. Is there any way
to repair this or do I need to replace the cover?

You will probably have to replace the hatch cover. The cracks most likely
were caused by drilling the hole with a in correct type of bit. When
drilling plexiglass or lexan you should purchase a bit especially sharped
just for plastics.

The cracks may well have resulted from overtightening the screws.

Would running the bit backward work, as does skill saw blade
backward for siding?

Would crazy glue or acetone glue the cracks well enough for another
year if you relieved the possible stress of a misaligned or too
large fixture?
