Half Moon Bay Sail

Hi:
I'm on Holiday the next 10 days and am looking for some funhogs to sail HMB with me on my 35ft.
Yorktown. I just sailed it down to Pillar Point Harbor from a Richmond haulout yesterday
singlehanded. Thru the Gate at 2pm and in the jaws at 5:30 pm,25 minutes before total darkness.
Awesome sunset. Watched John Madden and the Detroit Lions out at sea on the way down on autopilot.
I had a East wind beam reach all the way to Pedro Pt. and didn't trim at all until the wind shifted
to dead south off Devil's Slide with a following sea. The winds are always from the NW so that was
kind of strange. The Wind right now is 20knots South with puffs to 30. Perfect. 5 ft seas and swell
10-12 ft. every 14s. No problem. The new bottom paint job added at least 2 knots to hull speed. I
caught the Ebb tide on the nose and flew thru the Gate at 11.5 knots. You must be joking. Nope. Off
Daly City, the waves were huge but no problem Amigo sinced they were spaced every 14s. 15 degree
heal most of the way with puffs taking it to 22 degrees. Outrageous. With no ebb,hit 8.1 knots for
about 2 hrs. straight from Colma to Montara Lighthouse. Sailed past the nudist beach at Grey Whale
Cove at 4:15pm but was too far out to see anybody on binocs(the footbal game had just ended).I hate
when that happens.
Reply to this or call me anytime(415-728-8612).I,ll leave the answering machine on after
11pm. Don't be a flatlander over the holidays. This is better than paying Cushing $45 to go rock
skiing.
        Cheers and happy holidays,
                                  Michael

PS: ***cruisers/ Sea of Anarchy Yacht Club especially welcome!
