SEATTLE MAN'S KAYAK FOUND; BODY MISSING
MARBLEMOUNT - Searchers spent yesterday looking for a man missing in a
kayaking accident near here.
Michael Barker, 35, of Seattle apparently was pulled under by
treacherous whitewater currents Monday on the Cascade River.
About 40 searchers from three counties failed to find Barker's body,
but his kayak was recovered.
Marblemount, in Skagit County, is almost 80 miles northeast of
Seattle.
