am looking for source of oddball sail slugs.

Most commonly available are either cylindrical with bail, flat with
bail, etc.

The one I'm trying to find in cross section looks like a damn anchor
wthout the flukes!!!!

Seldon makes a slide somewhat as you describe.  Length 37 mm, width 14
mm, waist 4 mm.  They're black teflon coated cast stainless steel.
Rather expensive, but available from my wholesaler.

Oops, there are also  all plastic versions in 3 sizes that are much
cheaper.  They come in widths of11, 14 and 15 mm.
