Chuck you gotta quit riding that Mater Dei Varsity ass. coach into the ground.
Sounds like you are using that as a travel ball recruiting tool and I know that
the womens A.D. would not like that. You need to retract or put in a disclaimer
right now.

AMEN! The problem is that (American Pastime's)
Chuck Zerkle can not seem to attract players
solely based on his coaching merits therefore, he
must ride on the coat tails of his Mater Dei Ass.
coaching job. I'm sure that the Mater Dei A.D.
will be interested in hearing about this.In

Mater Dei Varsity Ass't Coach Recruiting Players

We had to let a player go that we cared a lot about because she played on
Amie's high school team and is not eligible to play winter ball for us.  I
would hope that the other teams are playing by the same rules.
If you are a coach or assistant coach at a high school your school ball players
cannot play on your travel team.  Is that not the rule or has something
changed?

The rule varies from CIF Section to Section. In San Diego Section there are no
restrictions on High School coaches having their players on their own travel team.
In fact many coaches put pressure on their players to play for them and not other
travel teams. USDHS (Catholic) coaches make it mandatory for all their varsity
players to play on the head coaches winter ball team in the local league for
example. The pressure generally works with the younger players and is ignored by
the older more experienced players,

In the Southern Section of CIF, the rule has not changed.
