Just thought you all should know I got the following message from Margaret at

"The insurance covers the girls who are individually registered.  If an
individually registered player moves from one team to another individually
registered team she is covered-- it follows her wherever she goes.  It covers
her in any supervised amatuer softball activity, tournaments do not need to be
ASA sanctioned in order for her to be covered."

"The girl coming to play for just one tournament (to try-outs, practice etc)
needs to be individually registered in order to receive the insurance coverage.
If you are ASA registered, you can only be covered under the ASA insurance
program. "
I think you might agree with me that the new  "individual" coverage as opposed
to the old "team" coverage is going to make things very difficult for Managers
& Coaches who's teams change from week to week or month to month.

I guess that ends "shopping around." Perhaps now parents will be better at
pimping their daughters than they have been in the past.
