The last four teams are

Batbusters Haning who play Fl Bombers at 9 am

So Cal As who play the winner of the above game at 11 am

Gordon's Panthers sole undefeated team who will play the winner of the above at
1 pm.

The game of the day was a 12-13 inning marathon between Batbusters Gary and
Tyrone..went into the last inning 0-0 but Gary's team pushed across 3 runs with
two down it INT to win.

They then went on to beat Fresno Force 1-0.

Lady Bombers defeated Ligthing 2-0 in the other loser bracket game.

Gordon's Panthers defeated So Cal As, the score was rumored to be 4-0

Gary's team played and won 5 games today.

Never did I expect this.  I am proud that FL has finally made a mark at the
GOLD level, but I am really surprised.  Beating Haning's team back to back
games is an achievement in itself.  Did the Batbusters have a couple of bad
games against the Bombers or did Gladding dominate?  Is this the same Bomber
team that competed at  NSA State and National? If wishy the other 2 excellent
FL teams had attended, Tampa Lookouts and Central FL Maniacs.  If this is the
same Bomber team that competed all season, these other FL teams would have had
an excellent chance place well also.

FL's best 16's, Central FL diamondbacks are not going to Marietta.  Yesterdays
paper listed 14u Tampa Mustangs record at 72-2 since January.  Hope to see a
good showing in Garland this week.

I just wanted to make the observation that I think all the teams appeared to be
very competitive, whereever they came from. I wasn't fortunate enough to
attend, but it seems to me like almost every game could've gone either way,
there were many one run ballgames and tie-breakers. Of course, I was
particularly gratified to see the NORTHERN  California teams do well(Tornadoes,
Runnin' Rebels and Strikkers) but all the teams appeared to play well. As for
one region of the country dominating, I think those days are long gone. As the
interest in fast pitch softball grows, so will the competition!
Congratulations to all the teams that attended and I look forward to seeing
everyone next year in St. Louis!
P.S. Thanks again to those individuals who
provided the updates and scores for those of us who couldn't make
it...........:)

wonder if the age change had anything to do with it and wonder if other states
having Gold teams finall yhelped. I think Socal will get weaker with the increased
number of Gold teams when other states field one ore two.
