Have any of you ever taken a shot to the nuts that has cracked your cup?  It
happened to me last summer.  I never sweat so bad in my life.  =)

If that happened it means that your hands arent fast enough to be a catcher
and you should not be in that position.
May I suggest you try fielding in a position that your reflexes could handle
better, like I dont know um, Right field.

It was a ***in foul tip, went straight off of my glove and a direct hit to
my cup.  So how about you go blow an 8 yr old.

Excuse my French

Frog.. do you want a medal?  Cause obviously you are well above anyone elses
level of play.  The idea of the post in the first place was a question on
the "lighter" side of things.  Too say its impossible to happen, is words
from a fool's point of view.

I have been catching since I have been 12, I KNOW what I am doing, and I
don't need someone of your stature saying that because a foul tip cracked me
in the jewels, that I should play RF?  Lemme guess your 40 yrs old, coach a
little league team on the side, and all the parents are pissed cause you
only play the same 9 every game that have "fast hands"??

If your gonna make remarks about someone else's playing style, I hope in the
future u decide to find some worthy facts to back your blown apart opinions
up.

Have a nice day

Yes well said scorkep with that kind of talk and the last part of the
msg it makes you ponder over a thread earlier on about female athletes, as
to whether some males are as well.
As for you Micheal J Klpahake I speak from thirty odd years of
involvement in the sport, SEVEN*** of them as a catcher, from playing
Agrade to an International level. In that whole time I did not once wear a
box (Cup) and have since fathered three future female  softballers the
eldest of which won her first grand final last Saturday, for a club that I am
the catching coach.
Although some people might have taken my suggestions to heart as you
obviously have it was all meant in jest. Lighten up and see it for what it
was as with the sport its all about having fun.
