Sorry, don't have a pitcher for you, but my compliments on the longest team
name I've seen to date!

How can you have a "B" select team?? That is a contradiction, is it?

  sbnut,

Not really, considering the Chattanooga area has been living in a virtual
vacuum for the past 20 years.

Until this season, we were locked into using core rosters for our teams
playing in the local league.  This meant that you carried the same girls
from year to year, with little or no way to bring in new talent.  The local
ASA and NSA officials had a "gentlemen's" agreement with the local league
president that they would hold us to the roster when we played the district,
state or any other tournaments.  That President was finally ousted, and
thereby broke the *** hold he had on the officials.

We were also successful in getting our rules changed to allow those who
wanted to play "B" ball at a higher level of play to do so.  Thus the name
"B" Select.  There is also "B" Rec. and, of course, "A" ball.  Hopefully we
can get rid of the core rosters all together, and just play ball like the
rest of the world.

  Hoping this all makes sense,
  Jim C Roberts
