For all you softball fans who love to see top teams play, get ready to
use that sick leave to come and watch some outstanding softball.   Check
out the tournament schedule for the Kia Klassic this year.  Even though
it is just pool play, on Thursday March 16th, you're going to have to
find a way to get off work to see some of these games.

9am #25 Iowa vs #10 USL
11am #11 Oregon State vs # 8 Oklahoma
1pm  #3 Fresno State vs #10 USL
3pm  #14 Depaul vs # 8 Oklahoma
5pm  #3 Fresno State vs #2 Washington
7pm   Cal State Fullerton vs #4 Arizona

These are the featured games but you've also got Arizona State versus
Notre Dame, Iowa vs Washington, great softball

The tournament actually begins Wednesday night with Northridge vs Notre
Dame / Arizona State vs Texas/  Fullerton vs Hawaii

Friday will be another day of top notch softball and the last day of
pool play.  

So start saving up your sick days and watch some of the best softball in
the nation.

Done one better, here's Wednesday, Thursday & Friday's pool play
schedule.  Fullerton looks forward to excellent crowds once again for
this years tournament.  There is construction behind the left field
fence all the way around to right field on field #1 Very limited seating
for the feature games on field one....get there early to ensure that
perfect seat on Saturday and Sunday!

Wed. Mar. 15

5:00 p.m.     Field 1 A1 vs. A2 - Arizona State/Texas
              Field 2 A4 vs. A3 - CS Northridge/Notre Dame

7:00 p.m.     Field 1 C3 vs. C2 - CS Fullerton/Hawai'i

Thurs. Mar. 16 (This is the day everyone will call in sick to work!)

9:00 a.m.     Field 1 D4 vs D3 - Iowa/USL
              Field 2 B3 vs B4 - DePaul/UNLV

              Field 3 at Fullerton College 1 game only at 11:00 a.m.:

Hey Steve- I was honest and took a vacation day on Thursday!   Congratulations
on a great season for CSUF to date.  I'll be there while Foothill makes its run

I hope the construction is related to softball and not the adjacent
baseball field....their stadium is pretty good as it is.

They are actually building a new stadium for the girls!  It will have
locker rooms, press box, etc.  Interesting that Fullerton can spend that
kind of money on a new stadium without the support of a football team
while some other schools in their conference have really done little for
the softball programs.

Cal State Fullerton is in the Top 10 in baseball every year. Where else
would the money come from? Softball? Heh.
