Help with pitching (slow-pitch)

Help with pitching (slow-pitch)

Post by overba » Fri, 06 Aug 1999 04:00:00

I hope this is the correct news group to ask this question.  I haven't
played much softball and I'm now pitching for our church (all be it the B
team) team.  No one seems to have much advice but there has to be some
technique to getting it over the plate consistently.  Any advice on such or
where to go to find out more would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jonathan:  My husband and I have both been slowpitch pitchers, both in our
separate leagues and our co-ed one.  In order to consistently get the ball over
the plate, two important things are speed and release point.  If these two
things remain the same, the ball will go where it's supposed to.

Check out the "library" section on our webpage below.  There are some good
books there on the subject of fast and slow pitch softball.  You can even
search the entire Amazon.com bookstore specifically for "softball pitching" for
more items.

Good luck!

Gary:  Checked the newsgroup, and found you were having trouble accessing the
website for "Bat" Attitude.  I just clicked on the hyperlink and had no
problems at all.  Couldn't tell you why your browser keeps crashing.
