For information about fencing in the Phoenix area, the following people
will be able to help you out:

Sheila Higgs-Coulthard
Rocky Mountain Section Chair
(602) 860-9514
note:  she'll be out of town until August 28th or so

Chris Marchant     (602) 971-4398
(a fencer from Salle Couturier in California who lives in Phoenix)

If you are currently a competitive fencer and interested in competitions,
the first
major tournament of the season will be held Sept.2-3 in Tempe at the
Arizona State University campus -- the Bob Simonds Open.  If you'd like
information about the tournament, e-mail me either here on AOL or at:

tournament.

Sorry to interrupt here, but the two people you named don't really know
how to get in touch with fencers in AZ.

Sheila is the Rocky Moountain Section Chair and happens to live in
Scottsdale, AZ, but she really doesn't keep up with who's who in the
Arizona Division. Which means she doesn't really know those of us who
fence in AZ. Try calling the Division chair, Maestro Atilio Tass in
Tucson. If you want his number, I will e-mail it to you.

Chris Marchant, while a fencer in the area, has few contacts with any of
the local clubs.

I am a coach with the Southwest Fencing Club. The club president is Tony
Quinn of Phoenix. I can e-mail you his address as well. The club meets
half in Deer Valley and half in Mesa. I also have the names and phone
numbers of coaches and club presidents for ASU, many community colleges,
Tucson Fencing Club, and the U of A. E-mail me if you want any more info.
