Pomme de Terre - New England USFA tournament, Nov 12-13

Hi all,

This is a general invitation to all who are interested in fencing in
the 1994 Pomme de Terre.  There are open events in all weapons on
Saturday, Nov. 12th and unclassified events in all weapons on Sunday.
I'm including a flyer and entry form, but first a few notes...

There were ~250 entries last year.  We're hoping it will be larger
this year.  The biggest event has traditionally been MF which has
had ~50 entries.

This year, there's a big push for women's sabre.  The New England
division had the largest number of WS fencers and is home to the
teams which took 1st at the National WS team event the last 2 years.
(NewEngland composite, 1st-1993, TannerCity, 1st-1994, BFC, 4th-1994)
There is both a WS *and* a mixed Sabre tournament being held on the 12th.
The WS final is guaranteed to be directed by a Nationally rated
sabre director. (I guess there was some problem at Nationals?)

I've got info for local hotels, directions to the site, and I can
see what we can scrounge up if college fencers are looking for
floorspace where they can crash.  Any questions, email me.

In summary, it's a fun tournament, it's a great city, come and fence!

-Stan
