And if you can't make it to Pittsburgh, there is the Stony Brook Fencer's
Club Third Annual Fencing Open.

Sunday, Sept. 12 1993 at the Indoor sports complex at State University of
New York at Stony Brook.

9:30 AM Open Foil begins

10:00 AM Open Epee begins

11:00 AM Open Sabre begins

11:00 AM U-15 Open(?) Foil begins

Registration starts 8:30 AM, ends 30 minutes prior to the start of each event
Late registration ends 15 minutes prior to the start of each event but there
is a $15.00 late fee. $10.00 entrance fee, ($4.00 refund if you help put
stuff away afterwards).

1-6 place medals, First place circulation trophy (held one year).

Parent or Guardian must sign for under 18 years of age.

ALL participants must have USFA registration. USFA forms available
at the time of competition.

It's usually hard to predict who shows up out here. There are some quite
good fencers on Long Island and sometimes (like last year) so pretty good
people come out from New York City. This event is coordinated not to
conflict with any known NYC tournaments (or so I am told).

By the way, I think the club will be having it's regular meeting on Sunday
afternoons after the tournament so this would mean anyone who wanted
to get in more bouts probably could. (This is supposed to be 1:00 - 4:00
PM in the same place).
