I will be moving to Schaumburg soon and I would like to know where to find
the fencers in the Chicago area.  Is there a good salle in Chicago?  Please
send e-mail.  Thanks in advance.

Jeremy

Try Fencing 2000 in the loop.  It's run by Tim Glass, an NCAA epee
champ and Under 20 Bronze medalist.  Lot's of space and plenty of
people.

It isn't actually run by Tim Glass, by the way. He used to teach
there, I'm not sure if he still does. On the other hand, he
_does_ run the Northshore Fencing Academy which meets Wednesdays
7-10 pm in Northbrook - through next Wednesday. I don't remember
exactly when we start up in the fall again.

There is also a club that meets in Rolling Meadows M/Th, whose
name escapes me at the moment, but I can dig up the info.

And lots of Nice People.  And lots of good people  Ed Kaihatsu at one
time #2 in the US in Foil.  I fenced him in the Midwest sectional,
(he beat me 5-0 I am Unclassified)  He was very kind, nice to talk
with and taught me a few things.  Fencing 2000 had many people on the
podium that day!  It was a pleasure to share the piste' with them!
