The rumor a club last night was that Canadian Circuit events
would count for US points. Any confirmation on this?
Either way, where and when are the Canadian Circuit events?
Seems reasonable; after all, Canadian fencers can get points at
U.S. Circuit events.

The Canadian Elite circuit is run somewhat differently from the
U.S. circuit. Aside from the sectionals and nationals, there are
6 elite events per year in each weapon, which are distributed
around the country, and usually run as parts of established
tournaments. For example, the annual Stephen Lazar tournament in
Vancouver is a 6-weapon competition, of which Men's Epee has been
part of the elite circuit for the past couple of years.
So when/where the circuit events are depends on which weapon you
fence. I haven't seen the 93-94 calendar yet, but I can make some
educated guesses. Selection of the sites seems to be based on who
is contending for the National Team in their respective weapons.
If you are attending Sabre circuit events, this means you should
expect to spend a lot of time in Quebec. For ME, you'll be flying
everywhere between Quebec and B.C. In WF, you'll range from Quebec
to Alberta. WE and MF I expect are mostly in Ontario and Quebec.
A warning: Canadian fencing authorities are more strict than their
American counterparts when it comes to equipment regulations. FIE
certified clothing and arms (ie. 800N jackets, pants, and mask, plus
maraging blades) are required equipment at Canadian circuit events.
Sorry, no exceptions.
I'll try to remember to post a complete elite calendar when I get it.
