Welcome to the left coast.
Vancouver clubs worth mentioning:
Vanguard: Meets at Kensington-South Hill Rec Centre (near 43rd & Fraser)
5 or 6 days/week. Weapons: foil and epee. Pros: very
competitive, overhead reels. Cons: expensive, small space.
Contact: Jerzy Kajrenius 734-7366
University of BC: meets at Osbourne Gyms 2 or 3 times per week during
classes (now closed for summer). Weapons: mostly foil and sabre.
Pros: lots of space, low cost, reasonably competitive.
Cons: attendance crashes during exams, closed for summer.

North Vancouver: meets 2 or 3 times per week at assorted locations in
North Vancouver. Weapons: foil and epee (sabre coaching
available, though). I don't fence here much, so I won't hazard
an opinion on pros/cons, but the club does produce some decent
fencers, and seems fairly active.
Contact: Zbig Pietrusinski 984-2157
Other Clubs include Jericho, YMCA, and SFU, but they seem pretty
xenophobic to me, so I won't recommend them to someone interested
in sport and competition.
The local Allstar agent is Zbig Pietrusinski, 984-2157. Otherwise
check out the FAQ for mail order houses.
