Any clubs in Columbus, OH?

I fenced a little in high school (saber) but had to quit because of work.
I would really love to start fencing again but alas, I know of no clubs in
Columbus.  Any info greatly appreciated.

Any clubs in Columbus, OH?

Clubs in Columbus, Ohio?  Why, we have lots of them!

1.  First, The Ohio State University supports both a varsity team, as well
as a club called Buckeye Fencing Club.  The varsity team is open only to
qualified students.  The club is open to all, but getting into the hall in
which it meets requires a student ID most of the time (tournaments are
excepted).  This effectively limits its regular members to OSU students.
BUT.....

2.  Salle Aramis is a public club sponsered by the Columbus City Parks and
Recreation Department.  There are two branches, one lead by Michael
Shearer which meets at the Cooke Road Rec Ctr (near Northland Shopping
Center), the other, run  by Dr. Ron Weaver, meets at the Westgate Rec Ctr.
(near Westgate Shopping Center).  Salle Aramis provides a place to fence,
group instruction, and bouting twice a week (Mon & Wed at 7-9) at a very
affordable price.  Contact the appropriate rec center nearest you (they
are in the phone book) for more info.   AND....

3.  Salle Simonian/Columbus Fencing Club  (two names for the same club) is
a private club run by Dr. Charles Simonian which features a place to fence
and bouting plus optional individual instruction (for an extra fee).  Call
Dr. Simonian directly for more information (he's in the phone book).  YOU
SAY THAT'S NOT ENOUGH?

4.  USFA, Columbus Ohio Division is located here, which sponsers several
Columbus tournaments each year.  USFA membership is required for these
events, but you can sign up at the door, no problem.  As a matter of
fact...

The Dr. Todd Curn Memorial Tournament, sponsored by Columbus Division USFA
will be held May 13-14 at The Ohio State University, Larkins Hall.  This
is the premier event of the season, usually well attended by local and out
of state people.  Event schedule is:

Saturday, May 13                             Sunday, May 14
       9:00   Registration                          10:00    Mixed Sabre
     10:00   Men's Foil                             12:00    One Touch
Epee'
     12:00   Women's Foil                        12:30    Men's Epee'
       2:00   Women's Epee'

Cost is $10/event.  USFA safety gear is required, FIE is not.

me).
