U.S. Beats N. Korea in Volleyball Match

DAEGU, South Korea - The United States beat North Korea 25-23, 25-14,
25-15 in a men's volleyball match Tuesday in front of 5,000
spectators.

"It was a great pleasure and honor to play the North Koreans," said
U.S. coach Arnie Ball. "I hope this kind of game helps Korean
unification."

The United States and Canada advanced from Group B with 4-1 records,
with the Canadians ending preliminaries on a 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 win
over Denmark.

The top two teams from each pool advance to the quarterfinals of the
single elimination bracket that begins on Thursday.
