WPVA:  Fontana Harris served two years as the WPVA's
President succeeding Linda Chisholm in 1993.

GRAND SLAM:  Fontana Harris has competed in 22 grand slam
events and is third in earnings ($68,921.25).  Fontana
Harris and Lori Forsythe won the 1994 Best of the Beach.
Fontana Harris and Linda Hanley won the 1996 U. S. Open.
Fontana  Harris finished second in the Nationals (1994 and
1996) and the Shootout (1994 and 1996).

WPVA CAREER:  Fontana Harris is sixth in earnings
($196,521.27).  Fontana Harris has 46 final four
appearances, including wins at Austin in 1993, Myrtle
Beach, Powell (Top of the Tour invitational), Las Vegas in
1994, Deerfield Beach in 1995, and Hermosa, Ocean City,
Newport and Portland in 1996.  She was the top defensive
player in both 1993 and 1994.

PARTNERSHIPS:  Fontana Harris has competed in 86 team
events with nine different partners, including 35 stops
with Forsythe, 14 each with Holly McPeak and Hanley, 12
with Richardson, four with Cammy Ciarelli, two each with
Monique Oliver, Lisa Strand-Ma'a and Elaine Roque, and one
with Karin Gysin.  Fontana Harris played with Roque, Gail
Castro and Dennie Shupryt-Knoop twice, and Karolyn Kirby,
Oliver and Forsythe in two Top of the Tours.

FIVB:  Fontana Harris and Hanley placed fourth in the 1996
Atlanta Olympic Games after finishing first in the United
States Trials. Fontana Harris placed third, fourth and
seventh in the 1994, 1995 and 1996 FIVB bonus pool
competition, respectively.  Fontana Harris and Forsythe won
the 1994 Japan event and earned the Goodwill Games Bronze
Medal.  Fontana Harris and Hanley won the 1995 Brazil event
in Santos.  Fontana Harris is eighth in international
earnings ($115,675).

AMATEUR:  Fontana Harris was on the winning team at the
1985 U. S. Olympic Sports Festival.  She was named to the
1985 USVBA Rookie team.

COLLEGE:  Fontana Harris graduated in 1987 from Stanford
University  and earned her law degree from Santa Clara
University in 1991.  Fontana Harris was a four-year starter
at Stanford where she was an all-league player and team
captain as a senior.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Fontana Harris competed in volleyball and
track at Mira Costa.  

PERSONAL:  Fontana Harris has a brother (Greg, who played
volleyball at the University of California at Berkeley) and
three sisters (Gina, Linne and Karen).   She married
Charles Harris in October, 1994.  Fontana Harris  was on
the Santa Clara Law Review and passed the 1992 California
bar examine.  Her hobbies are surfing, snowboarding and
travel.

GRAND SLAM:  Hanley has completed in nine grand slam events and is
12th in earnings ($42,512.50).  Hanley has eight final four
finishes, including a win with Barbra Fontana Harris at the 1996 U.
S. Open.  Hanley posted seconds at the 1990 and 1996 shootouts and
at the 1995 and 1996 Nationals.  Hanley and Fontana were second in
the 1996 Best of the Beach.

WPVA CAREER:  Hanley ranks 14th in earnings ($134,462.50). Hanley
has appeared in 40 final fours, including eight wins, 17 seconds,
10 thirds and five fourths.  Hanley won with Matthies in 1987 at
Rosecrans, with Chisholm in 1990 at Fresno, with Rock in 1995 at
Puerto Rico and Grand Haven, and with Barbra Fontana Harris in 1996
at Hermosa, Ocean City, Newport and Portland.

FIVB:  Hanley and Fontana Harris placed fourth in the 1996 Atlanta
Olympic Games after finishing first in the United States Trials.
Hanley finished eighth in the 1996 FIVB bonus pool.  Hanley and
Rock finished second in 1995 in both Japan and Portugal. Hanley and

player in the National Invitational Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Hanley competed in volleyball and badminton in high
school.

PERSONAL:  Hanley has a brother (Bill) and two sisters (Lisa and
Jill).  Her father was a quarterback at the University of Southern
California.  She was married October 7, 1989, in Newport, Calif. to
John Hanley, who is a professional volleyball player.  The Hanley
has two sons (Matthew and Turner).  Her hobbies are tennis and
hiking.
