Sinjin vs Karch

Lots of debate now that they're tied.

Does anyone have their win-loss record against each other? (Yes, I'm
aware It's a team sport - except in King of the Beach, wins that are
counted in the open totals by the way)

How about the percentage of tournaments won compared to tournaments
entered (each individually)?

Also, just exactly which "open" victories count?  I've have
several "OPEN" wins and I don't appear on the open win list.  Will wins
in the "Joe Schmoe West Do Dad City Challenge OPEN" count?

I think it would be funny seeing the two of them, into their 80's,
chasing open wins around the country/world for the title of best ever.
Just think if you showed up to your local "open" after a good week of
practice, feeling good about your game, and WHAM first game up vs. KK
and anybody.

I know they both have a lot of integrity but King is one title they
both won't regardless of what they say.

Hey, you are going to be hard pressed to find this data.  I don't know if
you watched the Dallas event on TV, but at one point the flashed up the top
5 or six players on the list and Mike Dodd was listed as 74.  He said
actually I have 75.  You see, nobody REALLY knows this stuff for sure in
the beach game.  I kind of doubt back when they were playing for a cooler
and a pair of shorts they were long on stat personnel......

Maybe, we'll find out one day with Dr. Ono's web site (http://www.bvbdb.com/).
I think he's compiling the data as we speak! ;O

I'll bet Sinjin and Karch (Karch for sure) know what the talley is.

You're right about the old days and stats.  How about just AVP event
win/loss head to head and individual wins vs events entered???

I would think that the 1996 USA Olympic Trials *could* count as an *open*
tournament victory. Dodd and Whit did win that! Or was their victory in an FIVB
in Spain that year not counted????

I'm not sure I see the point anyways.  I mean, I trust you are not doubting
their careers and impact on the game.

I'm sure they both have some tainted wins that show up in their "career open
victories", but there's no doubt they've been the 2 most influential players in
beach volleyball.

P.S.  I know this thread is old, but I haven't been around for a while.
