Lubrication for Steering Cable, Rudder

Does anyone know how to lubricate the steering cable. My boat has got is 3
years old and I would like to re-grease the steering cable for the new
season.  I have alread greased the rudder box with a zert gun, but I  want
to know how to do the actuall cable before I try to tear it apart myself.

Don't use grease on the cable. I haven't seen any lately but I have seen in
years past where they supplied a grease fitting on the cable,and people would
shoot it up and hydraulically lock it upwith grease.If you look at the
Overton's catalogue ,look at the kit they offer for that. You could make
yourself or buy theirs .I made one years ago and it looks almost identical.
Just dont use grease.
