FORD EXPLORER QUESTION-please read

OK, I know its not the right newsgroup, but you guys seemed fairly informed
with cars and boats.  A good friend of mine just bought a 98 Explorer, and he's
6'9".  His knee rests on the turn signal arm, which on the explorer comes out
and doglegs down.  On the Expedition model it come out and doglegs up, and on
the F150 it comes straight out.  Both of those arms would be perfect for him.
Ford will not tell him anything other than "you bought it, its yours". And, of
course, it will void the warrantee.  Can anyone help steer him to the right
newsgroup, or how to get an answer that yes it can be done or no it can't. His
good friend and fellow RSW'er. Dean

Try rec.autos.makers.ford.trucks .  Now back to our
regularly scheduled programming of slagging boats and the
men and women who make their own modifications to them <g>
