byerly in trouble

In the recent Launch mag there was an article about scott
byerly having a problem.  Few days before he was to get his new boat the
old one went up in flames and it's insurance had been cancelled.  Scot is
a vidal part of wakeboarding and needs our help.

Why was his insurance cancelled?  And what prompted the boat to "go up in
flames"?  He wasn't using it without proper insurance, was he?

Please, fill in the rest of the story - how can we help?

Yes he is in trouble.  Yes he is an excellent wakeboarder.  Vidal? you mean
vital, and he's not, no one is.  He makes a lot more money than most of us,
and guess what?  I pay my boat insurance and my car insurance and my mortgage.
Point being, if you know him personally and what to help him out go for it.
It's your money and it's definitely a free country.  But I see no need to help
out someone simply because they are talented in wakeboarding (or football or
baseball or chess).  Trust me, he'd never send you money, no matter how well
you did your job.  He's just a person who made a mistake, not a charitable
organization.

byerly in trouble

well here goes the story of byerly's boat ...... it was a weekend in sept,
wakeboard and waterski expo was in force,  word quickly spread that
byerly's sport nautique was on fire at his home ....... vandals ( or was
that competitors) had set the boat on fire and it burned pretty
badly.......  actually distroyed the boat ...... i spoke to eric perez and
byerly himself ... found out that scott had canceled the insurance on the
boat a few days before, his new boat was due in any day.........

byerly was gonna be stuck with the major financial loss on this
one....... but as luck would have it, it has all been handled and byerly
is in the clear again ........

and dont be fooled, alot of these pro wakeboards are making serious
sponsorship money..... and i guess it a lesson learned ... its better to
have insurance a day extra than a day too early .....!

Scott ... keep rippin! ........ and i was in hawaii with scott when he
pulled the first 720 on film.... i was lucky enuf to be with the boyz at
RnR and was watching Scott pull that huge move!!!!
