Mastercraft pulls dealerships in Seattle?

Latest rumour (from a semi-reliable source) is that Mastercraft is pulling it's
dealership status from it's two Seattle area dealers & giving the dealership to
Cope & McPhetres out of Sacramento. Apparantly it's due to the level of service
not being up to MCs standards.

I hear they are looking at buildings in the Southcenter area & hope to open late
this summer or early fall.

To somewhat verify this, Doug's Boats up in Woodinville is selling all it's MCs
at dealer cost. Guess they want out now...... sounds like a good time to pick up
a new boat at cost............. and then have it serviced by Copes!!

A source close to Cope & McPhetres said they are definitely working on
opening one store in the Seattle area.

Since I'm sure there are boatloads of people lining up to take advantage of
this.... ;)   I should make a correction on this.
Doug's has been selling their last MC boats for cost plus their expenses
(shipping, prep, etc. probably about $2k).

Wow! Doug's picked up the MC dealership when it dropped CC just a few years
ago. I've found their service ok. Pricey, of course; but that's to be
expected.

I wanna hear more about this!
