MasterCraft Service in MASS or NH

Post by david_l_barcom » Fri, 06 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I need to get the transmission in my 1992 Mastercraft
Prostar 190 rebuilt. My regular boat mechanic is looking
for a new location right now and is unavailable.

Can anyone reccomend a good mechanic in the North Eastern
Mass or South Eastern NH area who can do this job? I would
like a mechanic who can get put the engine back with a .001
(or is that .01?) clearence when mating the engine back to
the transmission.

    Thanks for any help.

P.S. Once the *** is repaired I plan to buy a Perfect Pass
and get my ski buddies to help me install it. Keep those
postings on the Perfect Pass coming. I sure would like to
get that cost down since the *** job will drain my water
toy budget some.

Dave,
Getting the *** rebuilt and mating it back to the coupler are two
different things.  Their are a few places locally that can remove and replace
the unit, in terms of rebuilding I'd have to check.  Who's *** is it, and
what's your time frame?

Service Work:
East Coast Flightcraft - building a brand new facility, shop, etc.
Yankee Engine & Marine - excellent knowledge and timeproven mechanics.
Ray's Marine - Mastercraft dealer - I have no knowledge of their service.

Bare. :)
