Most Beautiful Lake I've Ever Seen!

Wow! I had a chance to ski in my first REAL lake the other day. There
was one major difference between this one and the ones back in Fort
Lauderdale- you could see the bottom. The water looked so clean, you
could almost drink it. It was spring-fed. What a difference. I didn't
need to clean the boat for 1 1/2 hours afterward. The lake by the way
was in the Conway chain in Orlando. I know many locals have been skiing
there for years, but it was an eye-opener for me. Anyone who's never
skied in water this nice, I'd plan a trip to Central Florida ASAP!

what you've never seen the bottom a lake?  In Minnesota  thats all we see,
Come on up we'll give you a pull.  Better to train up here and then
compete in the nationals.  ask the pros faster water up here, cant slow
the ski as well, go to florida and gain a whole pass.

cheers

The three lakes that comprise "Lake Conway" are O.K. for boating, but they
tend to fill up quick with all sorts of boaters.  Ramp access is poor.
Water clarity can be good, depending on the amount of rain we have had.

I've always been impressed with the absense of PWC's and other skiiers on
the lovely lake Jessup.  There is always room at the several boat ramps
that service the lake and there are many secluded areas to slip into for
some serious skiing.  For additional variety, you can cruise through the
pristine waters of Puzzle Lake and end your trip either in the St. John's
river (bass capital of the world) or Lake Harney.  Lake Monore is also
available for those who really want to do some traveling.  There are
always several Osprey's cruising for their dinner as well as assorted
"wild life" to be seen on the waters.

Make some time for this trip.  It will be a significant change from the
usual.

"Yeah, what he said!" Actually, most of the lakes here in Minnesota are
great and the water is faster, even compared to lakes in Iowa (the few
that they have) But if you really want to work on slowing down your ski,
go to Canada and ski the stone-bottomed lakes in Southern Ontario.
Clearity isn't the word for how clean they are, and with all the minerals
in the water, it's really fast.
