Help me buy a ski

Please send suggestions for best mail order places to purchase skiing
equipment.  Not looking for any specialized equipment, just cheap prices
on standard skiing equipment.

Thanks

Jeff

Check out you local store called: "Play It Again Sports". I was able to
buy a very expensive pair of waterski's for only $89.00.....and one of
those ski's is for slolum! This store specializes in any type of used
sporting equipment.....Check your local phone book to see if you have
one near you!

Good Luck! And happy safe waterskiing to you! ;-)

Overton's catalog has pretty good prices, from what I've seen.
Call 1 800 334 6541

Also, Bart's at 1 800 348 5016
OR Ski Limited at 1 800 477 4040

Good Luck

WADR (with all due respect) $89 for a used set of combos (one of them for
"slolum") isn't much of a deal.  If all the original poster was looking
for is low prices then K-Mart, BJ's, Ames, etc could probably supply
"Something" for <$100 complete with vest and rope.  As is so often the
case, its usually less expensive in the long term to put the money toward
the equipment that you will eventually buy ANYWAY.

I agree, you should invest some money into skis, etc., that you plan to use
for a while.  In the long run you will be happier.  However, I need to invest
in a pair of trainer skis for a young (nervous) new skier.  Does anyone have
any suggestions to where I can get some quality skis inexpensively to later
sell on to the next person that needs them.
