This week I've started training for the Lanzarote IRONMAN 1998 to be
held in Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Spain) next May 23th.
I have 30 weeks to prepare for it and I'd like to contact with people
(all over the world) who have experience in training for such a
demanding race. I think I am going to train 20% swim, 48% bike, 32% run
regarding training volume.
Having done 2 marathons, 18 half-marathons, one 50K trail running race,
9 triathlons (sprint and olympic distance) plus 9 or 10 duathlons I
think I am ready (?) to go for my dream of finishing an IRONMAN. My main
goal is just finishing!
I'd like some info on specific workouts to train for an IronMan race.
Especifically, this race is tough (hilly and windy bike course...) but
everybody says it's BEAUTIFUL!
Any help or advice will be warmly appreciated!
