stomach cramps

Being new to triathalons, but a long time cyclist, I've been experiencing
some trouble with stomach cramps as I transition from one event to another
(particularly from the swim to the bike).  Once I get a cramp, it is pretty
much with me until I either stop for a rest or complete the workout, I can
never seem to just work through them.  They are a pretty big hindrance on my
training as often I cramp so bad I have to stop my workouts, rest for a
while (i.e. over 15 min) then continue on.  Does anyone have any good advice
on eliminating cramps, or a decent explanation of why I consistently get
them (i.e. lack of oxygen, lack of endurance etc.)
thanks for the help

Russell,   Don't drink the water.    Swallowing water during the swim can
lead to your cramping.  Even small quantities can cause the stomach
cramping.

Can't explain why you get them - but the best product for ridding
yourself of them is "crampstop" by HCH formulas (www.hch.co.nz I think!!
email me directly if you can't find it and I'll dig out the proper
address.)
