Did only three this year, finished only two.  Was the year o
of the flat tire.  Flat tire 1 minute out of transition at
elk-lake half iron.  Dnf'd delibrately because of previous
running injury.  Third olympic distance ever, tires at 65 psi,
not exactly flat, but not exactly fully.  IMC 98, third
Ironman ever, two flats, not a bad race considering.

Favorite,  Nothing can touch racing at IMC, but I would
have to highly recomend the Elk-lake half iron.

Cheers.

Jeez, so your training week probably shapes up like this:
Run:   3 hrs.
Bike:  4 hrs
Swim: 3 hrs
Bike mechanics: 5 hrs.

:) Way to persevere.  With any luck, I'll see you at IMC next year.

I beg to differ. I did IMC in 1994 but have to place it 2nd
on my list of all time favorites, which is based on the races
I've done.
Here are the top five :
1. Nice triathlon ( the most beautiful bike course )
2. Ironman Canada
3. Embrun Ironman distance
4. Esprit triathlon
5. Collingwood 1/2 Ironman
