No age-group records were set by women (which makes the three records set
by men all the more amazing, on that hot day). Here are other highlights
and details:

Women 18-24: 1. Angela Milne, 24, Australia, 10:02:31 (3:35:27 marathon,
first time in Hawaii, 10th woman overall !!!, beating five of the pros who
won money); 2. Jody Purcell, 23, Australia, 10:38:24; 3. Erin McCarty, 24,
CA, 10:40:37 (she had the fifth-fastest bike split overall, but followed
with a 4:25:18 marathon); 4. Danelle Ballangee, 23, CO, 10:51:14.

Women 25-29: 1. Lori Bowden, 27, Canada, 10:13:57; 2. Katja Mayer, 26,
Germany, 10:24:07; 3. Heidi Bischoff, 27, CA, 10:28:20; 4. Rushton
Haskell-Callaghan, 29, FL, 10:29:28; 5. Julie Verke; 6. Heather
Matz-Jorris; 7. Bettina Ernst.

Women 30-34: 1. Debbie Hornsby, 30, HI, 10:09:28 (3:35:26 marathon); 2.
Ghita Jarlstrom, 32, Finland, 10:55:57; 3. Alisa Goughnour, 34, CA,

Women 35-39: 1. Lee DiPietro, 36, NY, 10:22:43 (3:25:51 marathon); 2. Liz

Women 40-44: 1. Missy LeStrange, 42, CA, 10:12:31 (3:38:27 marathon, 15th
woman overall !!!); 2. Gayle Bilsland, 44, AZ, 11:15:14; 3. Susan Shafer,
43, AZ, 11:37:04.
