Katherine Williams here, just back from Cleveland. Here is a posting of the
men's pro results (women's pro results will follow shortly):

First, the DNFs, a few of them notable: Brad Beven, AUS; Glen Errington, RSA;
Andy Kelsey, USA; Mark Marabini, ZIM; Marias Marquez, ARG; Simon Whitfield, CAN;

(A side note: Aside from Zetina's DNF, the Mexicans did "great," according to
the Mexican Federation's Mark Sisson. I saw him after the race, asked about
his new team and country. "Nice place, Mexico," I added. "Yeah," he responded
as he scanned my media credential, trying to see who was asking him this.)

Hold the phone, are my eyes that screwed up or did the first USA Pro Male
finish in 24th place???  And then its a name that I am not familiar with??

me again or did I only count 3 (+1 DNF) that even participated?  Where
they not participating out of protest or did Less and crew make the entry
requirements so outrageous that they were not worth the effort?? Is this a
sign of things to come???
